Betterview strengthens its management team
Betterview, the refractive surgery company with locations in Switzerland and London, has strengthened its management team at the turn of the year. Ulrich Harmuth took over the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on January 2, 2025.
With his extensive experience in corporate development, internationalization and financial management, Harmuth is ideally placed to continue Betterview's success story and provide new impetus for growth and innovation.

An impressive career
Ulrich Harmuth can look back on an impressive career. His previous stations include:
- Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Sportradar AG: During his time at Sportradar, he made a significant contribution to the company's development from a start-up to a global market leader with sales exceeding the billion-euro mark. Sportradar's IPO was one of the largest in Swiss history. In his various roles, Ulrich Harmuth was responsible for entering the US market and expanding the product portfolio through successful acquisitions, among other things.
- Ulrich Harmuth also gained extensive experience in private equity, M&A and strategic corporate management at EQT Partners, 3i Group and The Boston Consulting Group.
- Ulrich Harmuth holds an MBA in Finance from INSEAD and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering (BU Wuppertal, TU Karlsruhe and University of Pretoria).
Strengthening expertise and international growth
Since its foundation in 2021, Betterview has established itself as the market leader in refractive surgery and has performed over 15,000 successful treatments. With the appointment of Ulrich Harmuth as CEO, the company is strengthening its positioning in Switzerland and at the same time placing a stronger focus on internationalization and further expansion. With the appointment of Dr. Ivo Guber and Walter Koller to the Board of Directors, Betterview has also strengthened its medical excellence and is in an excellent position to drive the company's further development.
