Balenciaga eyewear exclusively available for the first time

For the first time in history, eyewear is part of the Balenciaga Couture collection. Made from the most precious materials, the classic models meet the requirements of the most exclusive fashion creations. Balenciaga is also celebrating the launch of its new couture website, where selected pieces from the couture collection will now also be available digitally.

The REGATA models are cast from 18-carat gold. The sportier HRH (short for "his/ her royal highness") wraparound sunglasses are made of milled aluminium and are available with either a galvanized, 18-carat gold plating or a palladium coating. The lenses of both models are made of mirrored organic nylon, which are finished with real gold or platinum. The BLACKOUT line, on the other hand, impresses with particularly dark-tinted mineral lenses and a wide, striking frame made of wood pulp in black with an 18-carat gold-plated Balenciaga logo on the temples.

A selection of the models from the show are not only available in the couture store in Paris, but now also via the newly designed couture.balenciaga.com website. This marks a turning point in the House's history as couture products are now available to a wider audience via digital channels for the first time. This innovation is also a first in the couture industry and a modern approach to the concept of the couture store.
